About the Montessori Method

Montessori education is named after the Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori (1870-1952). She was one of the first female doctors in Italy and a revolutionary educational reformer. By observing children, Maria Montessori developed a unique educational method based on a child's natural desire to learn and explore the world.

The Montessori method promotes a child's independence, natural curiosity, and joy of learning. The main principle is to allow the child to learn at their own pace, through practical activities and sensory experiences.
